SRI SEMPURNA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL LEADERSHIP CAMP - PART 1 (MARCH 2014)

Over 3 days towards the end of March as the school holidays began, we were invited to be speakers at a Leadership Camp organized by the Sri Sempurna International School for all the senior prefects. With the theme THE CALL STRENGTH, SERVANTHOOD AND SINCERITY, the focus for this year was on developing leadership qualities through community service. As such, we took 35 students and 6 teachers to our Orang Asli Village in Pahang. Upon arrival at the Lake Chini Resort where we stayed for the 3 days, we thanked God for our safe journey and arrival of the entire group. We then moved into some ice breaker games, which got everyone into the team spirit. It was such fun watching everyone unite together, teachers as well as students.

We then made our way to the OA village for service. Upon arrival, students walked from house to house in the entire village, getting to know the people and inviting them to the community center. In the process, the students administered first aid to one child who had injured his leg.

Once all were gathered, we had a time of praise and worship as we glorified God for His goodness and mercy upon all our lives. The students then performed a drama on David and Goliath.

The group was then spilt into two, with the adults remaining in the hall, whilst the children made their way to an open area outside. Mr. Tan Koon Hai, the principal of Sri Sempurna shared the message to the adults. At the end of the sharing, the teachers took time to personally share and pray for the adults that were gathered.

Issac Low the head prefect shared the message to the children. The children then enjoyed doing some craft with all the rest of the students. We thank God that all were blessed.

We then made our way back to the resort, where students began to receive the Word to help them grow as leaders. After a time of worship, the session was taken by Pastor Justin who shared on King Hezekiah and recognizing the call of God in their lives.
